June 2021’s Movie Watch List with Juicy Stats

2021 is already halfway gone. Time flies.

My good-movie average is a little low this month since I intentionally watched some bad films. Two of the Tremors sequels and 8 Heads in a Duffle Bag. Then I saw The Dukes of Hazzard was leaving Tubi at the end of the month. I should have left it unwatched! Still, no strikeouts as I watched all I started to completion.

The Movie Watch List

  • An asterisk (*) indicates a first time viewing.
  • Strike-through means I didn’t enjoy it enough to finish it.

Baseball time!
These are the “batting stats” compiled for the FIRST TIME watches.  I give each movie a rating out of 5.  4.5 and up are home runs, 4s to 2.5s are hits, 2 and lower are field outs, an 0.5 (did not finish) is a Strike Out.  This tells me how well of a job I’m doing at picking which movies to watch.

Home Runs: 3

Most Fun First Time Watch: Goon

The movie I can finally cross off the Bucket-list: Brian’s Song
Best performance: Sean William Scott, Goon
Most Pleasant Surprise: Goon
Worst Movie:  Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell
Best Movie: I highly recommend Wind River and Goon for completely different reasons.

        1. Yeah, depending on the movie you might only get one or two commercials. The more popular one have about four breaks. They have apps available on almost anything so it might be worth checking out.

  1. I didn’t realise they were still making Tremors movies! Michael Gross in them? I seem to remember he was attached to a TV show spin off that never happened? (Or did it?)

I’d completely forgotten about that Dukes of Hazard flick. I never saw it (the trailer was enough).

    1. Yes Michael Gross is still in them. They are so bad. It is like a train wreck. I have to see every one that comes out. The TV show did happen but only lasted a season. It is unwatchable. I think there are full episodes on YouTube.

      1. Brilliant. Gross is so committed to these it’s incredible. I’ll need to check out the TV show… I remember reading a quote from Kevin Bacon saying it was happening, but completely missed it.
